To accompany the evolution of the Résif-Epos research infrastructure to EPOS-France, a first historical article was published in the last Résif Newsletter.
It traces the birth in 2005-2006 of the European EPOS infrastructure, with the idea of harmonizing the production and availability of geophysical data in Europe, and its evolution to date. It also discusses the reasons for the decision to transform Résif-Epos into EPOS-France.
